The ActionKit team ran an annual in-person conference for its clients from 2013 through 2019, but that practice was interrupted by the chaos of the Covid years, shifting online and then being halted for several years — but after a long stretch, ClientCon has returned, with an in-person gathering in Philadelphia last week.
It was great to spend time talking with folks from so many organizations and campaigns about how they use the platform and what we could do to improve it.
I ran a training session on managing templatesets, and also switched hats to demo a few things I’ve built as an independent consultant, including the WeMove multilingual campaign dashboard, the akapi-fetch.js library, and the Workbench for ActionKit toolset.
As much as I enjoy working remotely, I’m glad we’re back to having this annual opportunity for face-to-face connection — it always yields so many useful ideas and insights that help to set the agenda for the coming year!
